Land Mine Disposal and Clearance

This Land Mine Disposal system was used in Bosnia and is made up of the following three vehicles:

Mineworm

Designed to dig down 250mm, grade the lifted earth and crush any large particles including explosives.

This Land Mine Disposal Machine weighs 22 tons, making it a solid remote controlled vehicle.

It has a 350 HP cumins engine, steel tracks and hydrostatic transmission with electronic guidance.

Bigfoot

This Land Mine Disposal Machine pounds the ground with hydraulic rams to simulate human feet. Land mines are discharged from the pressure of the ram which retracts out of the way of the blast.

The remote controlled machine has a 300 HP cumins engine and hydrostatic transmission.

Operations Vehicle

The Land Rover control vehicle has a complete electronic suit which controls both Mineworm & Bigfoot.

The vehicle can be positioned away from harm, keeping the occupants safe whilst the machines are in operation.
