Larrington Trailers offer two taildoor designs, the inside closing and ourside closing taildoors.
Hydraulically operated, both taildoors are constructed from a single 6mm plate with an internal channel, with one design particularly well suited to stone loads and the other to grain and root crops
All trailers with taildoors are fitted with a hydraulic sprung loaded valve which prevents the rear door from being opened accidently when the trailer body is down.

The sprung drawbar has a 25mm full length plate welded underneath it, with a complete 6mm top cover, folded and welded on top.
The swivelling drawbar ring allows oscillation between tractor and trailer, reducing wear on the drawbar ring. The swivel drawbar stand folds under the drawbar, so that it does not get removed or lost.

All Larrington trailers have been built using the best commercial axles and largest brakes available since the inception of Larrington Trailers in the early 1970s.
Presently most Larrington trailers are fitted with ADR axles and 420 x 180 brake shoes. These axles offer at least 50% braking efficiency which is required by the Construction and Use Regulations 1986 when your travelling speed is greater than 20mph.

The floor is constructed using 100 x 100 x 6mm box section covered with 4mm plate and with folded full length side moulds.
Larrington Trailers’ construction is different in that the floor sheets are welded to the inside and outer edge of the full length side mould, then also fully welded under the floor. This creates a complete welded box section on both sides. The side posts are also welded to the bottom of the side moulds below the floor sheets.

The chassis design is a fully folded and formed construction from 6mm plate.
Unique to Larrington Trailers and designed using the latest (ANSYS) program, our chassis offer the customer a greater pay load as it is 200 kilos lighter.
As it is folded and formed as opposed to merely welded together it has no cross section welds, therefore creating a much stronger chassis.
