The swivelling drawbar ring allows oscillation between tractor and trailer, reducing wear on the drawbar ring.
The swivel drawbar stand folds under the drawbar, so that it does not get removed or lost.
The drawbar spring allows movement between the trailer and tractor, reducing the ‘bounce’ that is created by short wheel base tractors.

The sprung drawbar has a 25mm full length plate welded underneath it, with a complete 6mm top cover, folded and welded on top.
The spring is retained in place by a 25mm top plate held together by high tensile bolts, other manufactures use ‘U’ bolts which brake in the corners. The drawbar can be pivoted in 5 different positions so that the ride of the trailer can be adjusted to suit the tractor or trailer wheel height.
The adjustment will alter the load imposed on the tractor drawbar. For example; the drawbar can be raised in wet conditions, distributing more weight to the tractor which will reduce the risk of it getting stuck.
We recommend setting the front of the body 1" (25mm) higher than the rear when the trailer is empty, so that when filled, the give in the spring allows the trailer to ride level. Set the front higher than the rear for a more comfortable ride.
In conclusion, the Richard Larrington drawbar’s unique features are:
- Swivel drawbar towing eye
- Swivel drawbar stand
- Spring held by 25mm plate and bolts not ‘U’ bolts
- 5 hole adjustments for levelling and tyre height correction
