Trailer Maintenance

We have put together a series of useful checklists to help our customers understand what to look for when checking their trailers on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

The check lists provided are a good indication as to what to look for when checking your trailer but are by no means a replacement for regular servicing.
Service checks should be carried out by a qualified service engineer regularly to ensure the road-worthiness and safe use of your trailer.

The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) require all agricultural vehicles and trailers to be in roadworthy condition, in good working order and maintained.
The responsibility for the trailer along with its maintenance, road-worthiness, safety and general condition lies solely with the owner/operator respectively.

For our customers wanting to keep paper records of these checks, we have also provided a 'printer-friendly' format of these sheets for your convenience.

If you encounter any problems or are unsure about any safety aspect of your trailer, speak to your Health & safety Officer.

Our parts department can be contacted here should you need any replacement parts.
