The Guardian Box Loader with its 50mm cushioned top receives the crop gently and allows it to transfer down into the waiting box with ease. The transfer chute stays closed until 25Kg, then gently pushes the cushioned rollers open allowing the crop to slide down into the box. Soft Cushioned Top.
The soft cushioned top of the Guardian Box Loader allows it to be filled like a conventional trailer. The potatoes land on the full PVC lined 50mm foam cushion, absorbing the impact. The potatoes then slide down and in to the the flexible chutes. A soft cushion across the middle of the chutes, cushion the drop and slow the speed of the crop while preventing any potatoes falling straight in. This is the only system available that reduces the speed of the crop once it has left the elevator.
Patented Cushion Lock System.
Our patented cushion lock system keeps the chutes closed, stopping the crop from falling directly to the bottom of the wooden boxes. Only when there is 25Kg of weight on the cushion lock, do the supporting springs allow the cushions to give way and slowly open the chute allowing the crop to gently glide down to the lower part of the wooden box.
Easy Unloading.
Once the full length of the top is filled with potatoes, the box can loader can be transported back to the farm, where the top frame can be lifted to fill the boxes. The Guardian has a leveling hydraulic system with electric controls in the tractor cab. This gives the driver full control of the speed at which the top lifts, and the of the loading of the boxes.
Protect Your Elevator.
A key benefit of the Guardian Box Loader is the ability to fill your boxes just like you would a conventional trailer. When working with potatoes and other soft root crops, an elevator would normally be angled down inside a box to reduce the distance the crop has to fall. This can be quite be quite tricky whilst moving and if the elevator and tractor drivers are not working in perfect unison, can easily lead to damage to either the elevator or tractor/trailer, if not both. With elevators costing in excess of £15,000 why take that risk !? The Guardian Box Loader eliminates that risk while protecting your crops from damage.
Reduced Crop Damage.
After several years of experience with the Guardian Box Loader, existing customers consistently report they have reduced crop damage by at least 10%. In real terms to a grower producing 10,000 tonnes, this could be several thousands of pounds in a good year. Also, if you have a crop in your store which is less likely to show damage because you have used the Guardian Box Loader, you are more likely to get a better price than those who have not !
Even Load Distribution.
From 2014, the Guardian Box Loader will feature an optional Weigh Cell, to enable the elevator and tractor driver to work in unison to ensure an even loading of the trailer and the boxes.
Customise It To Your Needs.
The standard Guardian is an 8 box machine, but we can build them in 6, 8, 10, and 12 box variations. Available with Tandem axles as standard, we have fitted many of the Guardian Box Loader we've built with a Tri-axle system. This greatly reduces the ground pressure exerted by the trailer and is fast becoming the 'norm' for this trailer. Weighing System.
From 2014, we have offered the option of a weighing system for all of our trailers. The weighing system has proven to be a great addition to the Guardian Box Loader, the ability to know exactly how much weight has been loaded into the trailer enables the driver to better and more evenly load the boxes.
